Eco house

It looks refreshing. And it's prefabricated.
This Chilean house is made of re-purposed shipping containers with recycled wooden pallets for exterior cladding.
Cost-effective, eco friendly and sustainable.
Perhaps one day I'll build a house with recycled materials.

K house.

By Ashton Raggatt McDougall Architects

It's a holiday home for families whose names start with K.
Dunno why they chose K, but it's pretty frikin awesome.

Bat For Lashes visuals from Treat on Vimeo.

Robin and Julia directed these visuals for Natasha Khan early 2010. This is a short edit of around 20 mins of footage produced. They were projected behind her singing with a string quartet, it was ace.

Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus

A project by Julius Von Bismarck and Benjamin Maus.

Basic procedure

  1. The program downloads and parses a part of the text of a recent best-selling book.

  2. The algorithm eliminates all insignificant words like "I", "and", "to", "for", "the", etc. The remaining words and their combinations are the keywords for the patent drawings.

  3. Using the keywords in chronological order, it searches for the key-patents.

  4. The program now searches for a path connecting the found key patents. This is possible because every patent contains several references to older patents - the so-called "prior art".

  5. All key-patents and the patents connecting them semantically are arranged and printed.

  6. Goto step 1.

Matthew Lyons

Great illustrations this man makes. His style of retro-contemporary art is rather pleasing to the eyes, yes? I'm loving the saturated colours and composition. very imaginative! aah!

Cowboy Balance - Clumsy Courage 2

World Hunger Poster

Eric Hu

"Hand-silkscreened poster for the band Moldar to commemorate their final performance on August 21st, 2009. An initial grid/matrix was set up and filled with imagery from their live performances, flyers and related visual references collected since 2007. The grid was then ultimately rejected to re-enforce the inherently punk notion of deconstructing pre-existing structures."

I feel like using this idea for my poster.

AMAZING.

I just can't get enough of this.
Basically they merged fragments of architectural photography in multilayered shapes, forming these amazing collages.

Sweden's Tree Hotel.

There are currently 6 rooms right now, and will eventually expand. But what's great is that each room is designed by a different architect and has a different character. How exciting D:

I've been gaping at these pictures for a while now. It's A-cero's second modular home in La Coruña. I love the simplicity and the precision/clarity.

Perhaps I'll incorporate some its design elements onto my cafe design.
too bad the blog's in espanol. I would have liked to learn more about it.
